Chibok girls: We can negotiate with Boko Haram – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that his government is ready to negotiate with violent Islamic group, Boko Haram for the release of the abducted Chibok female students.
DAILY POST recalls that over 200 girls of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, were whisked away from their school over a year ago.
Buhari, who is currently on a four-day official visit to the US, made this disclosure while speaking during an interview with Christine Amanpour on CNN on Tuesday from New York. See more after the cut..

More revelations have come from President Muhammadu Buhari as regards the extent of corruption which pervaded the nation’s oil sector under the immediate past administration of former President, Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking on Tuesday while fielding questions from a group which identified itself as Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation, NIDO, at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC, Buhari said, “250,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude were being stolen and people sell and put the money into individual accounts”.
He however expressed optimism that the United States and other developed countries “are helping us to trace such accounts now.”

Pipeline vandals’ clash report causes pipeline explosion

A reported clash between different groups of vandals at Arepo around midnight has led to a pipeline explosion, the National Emergency Management Agency has said.
In a text message to PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday, the agency said that it was yet to confirm if there were casualties.
“NNPC have been alerted about the explosion immediately and have shut down supplies to suffocate the fire while efforts are on to put out the fire by the NNPC safety Unit,” said Ibrahim Farinloye, South-West Spokesperson, NEMA.
“Efforts are on to access the swampy terrain with stakeholders.”

NDLEA: Davido Might Go To Jail If Found Guilty

Following the ongoing investigation by the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency on pop singer, Davido, for depictions of substance suspected to be hard drugs on his ‘Fans Mi’ video, recent developments have shown that the music star risks jail term if found guilty. Few days ago, Davido’s manager, Kamal Ajiboye in an interview claimed NDLEA have not contacted them in anyway and that they read the news on the pages of newspapers. He further added that when they wrote the script for the video, it was not to portray Davido as a drug trafficker.
