More international celebrities and popular
personalities have been lending in their support in promoting the
#BringBackOurGirls solidarity campaign to raise awareness on the 200 plus
schoolgirls abducted by Islamic group Boko Haram on April 14, 2014.
FLOTUS
(that’s First Lady of the US) Michelle Obama on May 8, 2014 joined the protest
campaign when she posted a photo of herself holding up a small placard carrying
the currently-world-trending hashtag ‘#BringBackOurGirls‘.
‘Our prayers are
with the missing Nigerian girls and their families. It’s time to
#BringBackOurGirls. -mo‘, she wrote on her IG.
Other globally recognized
persons have also joined in the campaign this week including rapper Drake,
Justin Timberlake, Forest Withaker, Lucy Lopez, Sean Penn, Aston Kutcher, CNN’s
Aisha Sesay and many more.
‘The kidnapping of these young Nigerian girls is an
unthinkable cruelty. Sadly, of course, there is real evil in the world. You
watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty‘,
Angelina Jolie said, Agence France-Presse reports.
